Short Biography
Ashley Mott is a dance educator, independent choreographer, and performing artist. Ms. Mott holds a BFA in Modern Dance and Master’s degree in Education from the University of Utah. She danced professionally with Keshet Dance Company (Albuquerque, NM), Contemporary Dance Wyoming (Jackson, WY), and SultzDance (Jackson, WY). She has also been a guest performer with several local Utah dance companies, including Wasatch Dance Collective, My Turkey Sandwich, Repertory Dance Theatre, and the Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Dance Company. Mott has choreographed for Dance Theatre Coalition’s Proving Ground series, Storling Dance Theatre of Kansas City, and numerous college programs, private and public high school companies, non-profit organizations, and independent studios. Ashley’s current focus emphasizes collaborative and multi-media arts and community connections as they relate to dance and higher education. Ashley teaches and choreographs at Westminster College and Salt Lake Community College. She serves on the Utah Dance Educators Organization (UDEO) board as the Advocacy Representative. When not dancing or teaching, Ashley enjoys camping, hiking, running rivers, and creative writing.
